Hi!
I'm fighting with the problem that ipppd doesn't connect correctly to my ISP.
It dials, connects, but also disconnects immediately after that. So I had a
look at /var/log/isdn/isdnlog and noticed that ipppd calls the wrong number.

With a 2.4
de. it also looks as if UDP traffic
works.
However, whenever I initiate a TCP connection, the ISDN link goes
down. the logs report the following:

I have a Woody system (up-to-date), and isdnutils is set up in the

typing "/etc/init.d/restart", a default route to ippp0 is set.

hi,
I was pleased to see that there is a file in /etc/ppp/ip-up.d that
does the dynamic nameserver-assignment (option usepeerdns) for pppd
(probably created by pppconfig).
Now I would like to know if there is anything similar for ipppd
(option ms-get-dns) ? The above file would most probably
Hi,
what do I have to make to use ipppd ? -- I already managed to connect
with the normal pppd with a capiplugin.so (from isdn4linux source) with
my FRITZ!PCMCIA, so the hardware problems (driver) seems to be solved.
Now there is a boot script

isdnutils is now split up; did you install the ipppd package? If the ipppd
binary is missing, isdnutils doesn't try to start the ippp... interfaces.
If not, you can get an ipppd binary out of an old isdnutils package (CD,
cache, ...) and

hello!
my father just updated his system to woody, now we have some isdn connection
trouble.
every config files are the same as before and everything seems to works but
when isdnutils are started, it says:

It might be that I have not upgrade the isdnutils package in the right way.
However, just wanted to warn you that since there is now a ipppd package which
is separate from the isdnutils package, you better download it before upgrading
the isdnutils package.

Hi!
I'm trying to configure my ISDN-Card with Debian 2.2 . I didn't have any
problems until I tried to dial the first time. /var/log/messages tells
me that "ipppd:no pap/chap-secrets defined for this user" although
pap-secrets exists. Everything else looks fine. May be somebody could
help me to fix

ipppd is in the isdnutils package, which can be found on a debian
mirror.

We've got ISDN at home with a debian box as the gateway running pppd.
This is working well, but I noticed a package called ipppd, specifically
for isdn. Currently we use the on-demand and auto-terminate features
seeing as we have to pay a phone bill in the UK :( over a single isdn
channel.
Hello list,
is mschap already compiled into the ipppd of the IsdnUtils 3.0-20
(potatoe) package?
I need to login an NT-Server and it seems that my ipppd don´t accept
the requested mschap autentification.

Hi,
I'm using a Debian box to connect my local network to my ISP, using ipppd.
Now ipppd produces some logfiles, which I'd like to use for cost tracking.
The cost entries are OK, I'm just looking for a tool to display and / or
summarize then in a more user-friendly format.
