I made enqripted password with makepasswd -crypt
and then I got pass1 og pass2. As I understand it the pass1 is a uncripted password

I'm having some trouble with the basic icecast setup. I edited and
copied the files in /etc/icecast/ to /etc like described in the files.
I tried modifying hosts.allow to let me connect to the web interface but
I always get a 403 permission denied error. icecast says something abo

Hi guys...
ive just barely got icecast running on an old 486 but the connection keeps
rebuffering even on the local network.
any ideas on the minimum requirements?
also what bitrate should i start it at if thats the problem?

shows that the client and server exist for frozen and unstable but not
for stable.

I wanted to experiment a little with icecast, so I apt-ed icecast-server
and icecast-client (1.0.0).
I went to www.icecast.org, read the FAQ and gettin started and started...
I set up the server with default values, (port: 8000 client, poort: 8001
encoder and poort 8002: remote admin

OK, has anyone been able to get the icecast-server package to work? I set
it up, start shout, and it complains about not being able to make a
directory. Really annoying. :/
