I am trying to see if it is possible to get SCO
binaries to run on Debian GNU/Linux.
I am just trying to get iBCS to work on two boxes:
bliss: Debian 3.0 GNU/Linux "woody" box running a
2.4.19 kernel
fury: Debian 2.2r5 GNU/Linux box running a 2.2.26
kernel

I forgot to mention that somewhere I read that running the iBCS module can be

Thanks again for your help

Dear List,
For testing purposes I am trying to run binaries compiled for SCO OpenServer
by using the iBCS emulator said to support this.
However I find certain difficulties in compiling the iBCS itself.
What I first did was install the ibcs-base and ibcs-source-2.2 on Debian
Woody.

Hi guys, I am trying to configure ibcs on woody running kernel 2.2.20
and i installed ibcs-source-2.2 but when i try to compile it with 'make'
command i receive errors. Anyone here knows how i put ibcs to run on woody?

Has anyone got IBCS working with a recent Debian release & kernel 2.2.20?
I've got 2.2r5 loaded and need this functionality for Informix databases.
Seems like the deb is lost in space. I'd appreciate any pointers.
Thanks.

ibcs-2.1-981105 compiles and works find with 2.2.18 but with 2.2.19 this

Hello to all Debianers
I got to deal with UNIX sockets ( from a SCO C program ) under
Linux.
It seems I got to emulate libsocket ( linls and libx too ) under
Linux.
Isn't it possible to use a shared SCO Unix libsocket.a ???
The solution to Emulate libsocket.a seems to be iBCS (

Hi,
Does someone already made debian packages from iBCS
for the 2.0.38 kernel? I started to look for it but i couldn't find
it.

Hi all!
I have Debian 2.1 running with the default 2.0.36 kernel. iBCS for 2.0.36
isn't available as a *.deb so I Debinized an iBCS Redhat RPM and installed
it. After moving things around to the proper directories,
modprobe iBCS
seems to work as far as I and lsmod know. However, trying t
I've got Debian 2.1 running on a dual PPro with 256 Megabytes of RAM,
Adaptec 2940 and a Seagate 4 GB Cuda drive. All's fine except that I really
need to run a legacy application which requires iBCS. Since the newest
iBCS.deb package was compiled for 2.0.35, I installed and compiled t
Are there any iCBS users out there? Does anyone know if it's possible to
get function key support for SCO binaries? Only F1-F4 seem to work.
Thanks.

I'm trying to compile iBCS for kernel 2.0.30. I've gotten the
source code tar file: ibcs_970212.orig.tar from the August 1997
Info Magic disks. The code compiles easily enough and installs.
Using insmod iBCS does not produce a kernel mis-match, but the
loading fails with:

Hi!
I'm trying to get iBCS working...I've tried iBCS-packets from bo and hamm,
but nothing works. I always get a message like this:
/lib/modules/2.0.30/misc/iBCS.o: unresolved symbol kill_fasync_Rab0414db
What's wrong?! If you can help, please email me.

Hi! Does anyone know, if there's a .deb-packet of iBCS that is compiled
for kernel 2.0.30? I've installed Debian 1.3 (frozen) from mirror at
ftp.funet.fi, and when i try to install iBCS i get this:
atuki_linux# modprobe iBCS
