found the error:
my computer has intel915 chipset, so i need debian sid (higher kernel
version) - now my only remaining problem is the graphic driver, but i
think i'll fix it soon - it's not realy easy for a linux newbie to
install debian on a acer travelmate...

Anybody know what this means when I am trying to install Sarge on a laptop.
I get this and the boot hangs, I get this right after I install the base
system and it stops me from even getting to the point where I can install
anything.
