Sorry to ask but what do you mean with dpkg --show-selections ? It has a
--get-selections and a --set-selections parameter, but no
--show-select

Thanks for your reply.
I assumed that FreeBSD was using the POSIX standard for portability and
compatibility. Didn't figure it could work with something like a translation
layer. I'm by no means knowledgeable to say a lot about this. Would probably
make more mistakes then anythin

Isn't there a tool that shows a list that is ordered in a less sequential way ?
