At work, my machine connects to a ethernet lan and it has a unique
ip address. If the company's domain is
xxx.xxx.xx, I want to set up a name so that I can telnet to my machine
using shao.xxx.xxx.xx.
I tied to edit the file in /etc/hosts but it doesn't work. Could
