If you have gdm installed all you need is 'dpkg-reconfigure gdm'

I had to reboot ( new kernel) and when I logged back in, I tried to
also log in my wifes session. I'm now using gnome window manager for
MY session, but my wife uses KDE.
there doesn't seem to be a switch-user menu item like there is with
KDE. I googl
