Thanks for all the comments so far. So far it looks like the way to go is to install gnome and use Window Maker. It would be nice if downloading gnome would suggest that Window Maker or some other compatible Window manager. I attempted to use gnome, then decided to download Window Maker. Now I

I am tired of FVWM95 and its apparent limitations and lack of new development so I am ready for a new window manager. Plus I wanna try something new and maybe break my system :-) I am currently downloading gnome as I type this. I considered KDE and settled on gnome. I am getting it from ftp.
