I am currently running Jessie with galternatives 0.13.5+nmu2 installed. For whatever reason it refuses to allow me to change anything, even run as root. Nor, does synaptic allow me to re-install it. Vey strange. If anyone else has it installed, with that version, would you give it a whirl
