hi,
the dosemu packages in woody says that there is no freedos-package and
that I should get the freedos binary package from www.dosemu.org
(and that I should read README.Debian for instructions on how to
install it)
However, these instructions don't work with dosemu-freedos-b8p-bin.tgz
(
Since there doesn't appear to be an official package for freedos (needed
by dosemu), is there an unofficial package I can install?
TIA

Hi,
I have an old 286/386 notebook that's not much good and since I can't
load Linux on it, I need to put DOS. Anyone got a DOS boot disk I can
transnfer the OS over with? Or can I use FreeDOS, and if so, how?
Thanks,
Jonathan

It's part of the dosemu package, but it's located at a unconvenient
g.sys (or a few such lines)
There is however one problem. Neither emufs nor lredir doesn't work with
FreeDos, so you have to use the DR-DOS or M$-DOS with it.

The following is based on my hamm system. Is there much different between hamm
and slink from dosemu and mtools points of view ?

It works this way.

If I run some dos-programs using freedos and dosemu, do I need to install
my dos-programs on a dos-formatted partition, or is it possible to use my
linux-partitions?

Hi
Looking through past messages of this list it seems that the freedos shipped
with Debian (Slink) doesn't support lredir. Is their any point shipping it
then as this seems to prevent any access to your hard drives. Also the
"setup-dosemu" program appears to be missing, does anyon

Hi All!
I just had to run some DO$ software on my Linux Box (exactly: the monitor
for DSP56002EVM evaluation module and DSP56002 assembler). I have decided
to install the dosemu. To keep my box M$-free I wanted to use the FreeDOS
(included in dosemu package). And here my problem begins:

Since I have to use Linux with these peripherals, I have to first boot
into DOS and then warm-boot into Linux.
Can I get rid of MSDOS if I use freeDOS ? All I want is my machine to boot
into DOS, poke
