When I launch xdvi, xfontsel, I noticed an exceedingly long launch time and
the CPU load is 99%.
When these programs exit, I got a message:
Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion
After googling, I see a similar question asked but not solved:

"freetype".
defoma must now also know that we are working with freetype (not
xtt). This is set by running dpkg-reconfigure x-ttcidfonts-conf
(as root) and setting the

Hi All:
All of my gdk applications give the error:
Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation

This problem seems to be fairly common, based on a number of google.com

Sorry to bother again, but when I start XEmacs 21.1.14-mule I get a

I tried to search on the Debian Mailing list, but strangely I could
not come up with a search result on that topic :-(

dialog about not being able to find the Times New Roman fontset and then exits.
Even after upgrading to the version in unstable, I still get the error.
Abiword, however, runs fine on my other machine which,

I had this happen to me when I was playing with /etc/gs.Fontmap as per
some Font-HOWTO. It didn't like the changes. So, have you been messing
with /etc/gs.Fontmap?

Every time I start gvim I get the above warning. Things seems to

But, what means this?
