I've been using EveryBuddy on Debian and RH for at least a year now. The
past couple weeks I've been getting the "MSN Security Team" message "You
need to update or won't be able to use this service" or something to
that effect. Trillian use to get the same me

Has anyone else noticed strange behaviour from
everybuddy? I'm using 0.4.2 on testing. Lately, the
main everybuddy window listing contacts will become
blank. Also, everybuddy will shut down for no apparent
reason. Any clues?

Hello.
I'm having a bit of trouble building this package, and I was wondering
if anyone on the list has built it for Woody. It barfs during make
like this:
proxy.c:34: gtk/gtk.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [proxy.o] Error 1

Check the lists archives there are several discussions
of this, in particular one started by me on GTK fonts.
I did find that a a mix of XFree 3.x and 4.x packages
was the problem.

Hi,
Ever since my last reboot, the 'everybuddy' program has been
misbehaving. It displays all messages sent to me as little dashed
boxes. It displays all timestamps as little dashed boxes. It displays
all text I send as normal text. I havn't noticed this behavior in any

I've setup everybuddy with an ICQ, AIM and Yahoo Messenger accounts,
each of these working right. But I noticed that the Yahoo one was
going really bad.
In everybuddy, where it expects you to put the screen name for ICQ,
you should put the UIN, and that should be enought.
And about AIM, I

I am trying to register my ICQ account with everybuddy but when I add it
in and re-start - I go back to the accounts section and it's empty - Is
this supposed to be empty? Please CC me on a reply.
Thanks.
Thanks for that. I was trying to compile it from source.

hi, instead of trying to download it from the everybuddy site in tar format or
maybe from source, just download everybuddy from the debian ftp site since
everybuddy has been already been packaged for debian install it via dpkg -i
