Hi,
Where can I read about how to change the irq for my sound card?
None of the followings are working (in /etc/lilo.conf):
append="via82cxxx_audio=0x1000,09,7,5"
append="via686a=0x1000,09,7,5"
append="via8233=0x1000,09,7,5"
append="ac97=0x1000,09,7,5"
I have a 2.4.18 kernel.
Thank you for you
Hi,
if you really need to change pci irq's (for example in combination with
isa cards), you can try to put the (pci)cards in a different order in your
pci slots. You can also look in the bios and try to change irq-channels.
(I belive it was IRQ #A and IRQ #B or something).

it's shared with my ethernet card.
In modules.conf i set options snd_irq=5; but if i do a cat /proc/interrupts

Excellent! That did it.
FYI, I couldn't just change the config; I had to remove the module and then
add it right back in, changing the parameters at that point.
One more question; after making a change like that, can you get the system
to see the change without rebooting? I suspect you can, but I

I'm sure this is SOMEWHERE in the documentation, but I'm not finding it.
How do I change the IRQ on my network card in hamm? I've just installed it
on a laptop/docking station, and forgot to check my IRQ first, so I guessed
at 10 during the install. That was wrong; I need to change it to 15. How do
