Program hack core dumps when you restore a saved game and then enter 'i'
to see Inventory. The following patch to hack.o_init.c fixes the
problem. (Sorry if cut and paste changed tabs to spaces...) I am
running Ubuntu 17.10, but don't think platform matters.

I remember when installing bsdgames package on a command-line-type system
very early in the installation openoffice's dictionary directories were
updated. Later those for emacs were updated. That was in earlier
packages chronologically. What was downloaded that would have given
diction

Hi. I began to upgrade to testing from stable. Things went fine until it
got to the bsdgames package. Installing it locks the system hard, and the
installation does not finish. The developer said that bsdgames could not
have caused a lockup, and that it probably came from a kernel or hardware

bsdgames uses the word list file from the wenglish package. Do you have
that package installed?
