I need to use Alien convert several .rpm files to .deb to run on my Debian system. I noticed this error. Warning unrecognized substution {shlibs:Depends} Am I missing something? I do not do this very often and mostly it seems to work with no messages. This is one I have not seen before. Thanks.

All the libs in bo are out of date. So if you want to use E on bo, you have to compile ALL of the libs yourself. The rpms are libc6 (like Hamm is). So they won't work. Take the plunge. If you need help, ask. -- Unsubscribe? mail -s unsubscribe [EMAIL PROTECTED] < /dev/null

I know nothing of RPM and avoid it like the plague. You do NOT need it. I personally have made a package of Enlightenment and all needed libs are either in my home dir or in Debian. www.livenet.net/~shaleh/software/enlightenment. If you are still a Bo user, now is the time to upgrade to Hamm.

Hi all, I'm trying to use alien to install a rpm (zlib-1.1.2.i386.rpm) file and I get the following error: Data type 9 not supported error querying rpm file. I've Tried > alien -n file > rpm -i file but got the same result. Is there any work around? What am I missing?? Thanks in advance.
