No. acpid is a daemon which runs scripts. It doesn't provide the
scripts. That is the job of other packages.

acpi-support scripts for handling many ACPI events
acpid Advanced Configuration and Power Interface event daemon
They seems to do the same thing to me, would they conflict with each
other? What would best suit my laptop?
