I'm running Squeeze in a x86 processor, and I noticed after a recent package update that I now get an error when I try to run xvidtune. The error says: "Unable to query monitor info." I'm using an Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 4000 card.

By default, the current directory is NOT one of the places that the system will look for an executable. Try giving it a complete pathname /something/somthing/Xvidtune. Or cd to the directory and enter ./Xvidtune. That specifies that the executable is in the current directory. cheers, dar On

When I try running xvidtune it tells me "Please install the program before using" Since xvidtune is part of the XF86Setup package I figured it was installed. XF86Setup works fine, but when it tries to run xvidtune, it also fails. Any ideas? --Vince
