I am using XEmacs-20.4 on a Debian 2.1 box that has been
updated to glibc-2.1 (not all the way to potato). Since
then, XEmacs occasionally locks up on me and I think its
because of the glibc upgrade.
I have the Debian source CDs and was wondering if I could
rebuild the XEmacs-20.4 debs from all

Just noticed sth odd with XEmacs-20.4 on slink.
Occasionally, things freeze up in XEmacs. It doesn't
matter what I am doing. Everything freezes. However,
if I hit Ctrl+, its normal. Any keystrokes that
I might have made while it was frozen seem to get
processed cuz after hitting Ctrl+G.
Hi,
In xemacs, I selected the menu: mule -> set-language-environment
-> Chinese-big5.
Then I selected the menu: mule -> Toggle-input-method.
Then I got a message:
Can't activate input method `chinese-py-punct-b5'
I then set the debugger on, and got the following

Hello,
I'm using xemacs 20.4 on hamm and whenever I hit C-z on the console,
Xemacs just freezes up and has to be killed. It iconifies properly
when in X.
Ideas?

Use xemacs*geometry. It works for me. There must be more elements between the
xemacs and geometry than there use to be.

Xemacs 19 paid attention to the line in .Xdefaults : xemacs.geometry,
why doesn't Xemacs20 pay attention too?
thanks

Whenever I change the font size in xemacs 20.4, and do a "save
options" my font change is always lost. I checked the faq, and made
sure that Options->Frame Appearance->Frame-Local Font menu is not
checked. I also have the following line included in my ~/.emacs file:

This sounds like a configure failure.
The source package is probably using some --with-bla-bla switches that
are incompatible with your hamm install a

I am trying to compile xemacs 20.4 withOUT gpm support because of the
CTRL-Z error in the console.
I got the three xemacs 20.4 files pertinant to building a debian
package. I did a "dpkg-source -x xemacs20*dsc" then edited the
debian/rules file to remove gpm support.

I also experienced this problem. On my system, the Meta k
This is probably a FAQ, or some keyboard thing, but ever since I
compiled and installed XEmacs 20.4 on hamm unstable, I've lost my META
key. I'm not sure if it was the XEmacs or Debian upgrade that did it, or
something else.
