with a new 2.2.20-kernel. I still have probs with network, which I
hope to manage myself.
But I am stuck with XFree 4.1.0. I have an old Number Nine Imagine which

Dear friends,
I have desperately searched some appends but really cannot understand if
they apply to my case.
With XFree 3.x I had a perfect XF86Config for my Matrox G400 driving my 16"
TFT display.
Upgraded to 4.1.10 (on a 2.4.10 kernel) and am not able to get the
XF86Config-4 to work and I cann

Hi all,
I want to complete my previous posting. After upgrading from Xfree 402
to Xfree 410 the error log shows the following:
(EE) MGA(0): [dri] MGADRIScreenInit failed because of a version
mismatch.
[dri] mga.o kernel module version is 2.0.1 but version 3.0.x is needed.
[dri] Disabling DRI.

Hi!
After the upgrade to xfree 4.1.0 on Debian sid I have run into some quite
serious problems.
1. On my laptop (toshiba satellite 100cs) the xfree just segfaults and does not
start at all (graphic card is chips and technologies and uses chips driver).
I don't know where to send th

They're in sid, so they'll make it. Be patient, as woody lags behind sid
by design. See http://ftp-master.debian.org/testing/update_excuses.html

it is planned to provide XFree 4.1.0 debs under woody? Or do I have to

Hi,
I have a little problem running DRI in Xfree 4.1.0 on
a debian woody with kernel 2.4.7-SMP and a Voodoo3.
I get the following message:
(II) TDFX(0): [drm] drmOpen failed
(EE) TDFX(0): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed, disabling
DRI.
Does anybody know why I get this error? Is there any

Hello all,
I've fallen throught a weird crack.
When I dist-upgrade and upgrade XFree to 4.1.0-1 dpkg starts configuring
the package and then falls on its face.
It asks for the keyboard model (101, 104 or 105 keys, etc), and then exits
with this message:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/xserver-xfree86.config
