# dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

you can actually use 24).
Ensure you have xbase-clients, xfonts-base and xterm debs installed in

how do i get the GUI for Xsetup? i tried with xf86configure but it didn't
help and for me to go into the XF86Config file would turn out as a disaster.

The following is what I see when I try to start X on my testing
system. This system has a trident 3Dimage975. This worked fine

I'm having trouble configuring X for this notebook PC.
XF86Setup appears to work, but the resultant /etc/XF86Config doesn't
work well at all.
If anyone has a working 800x600 XF86Config file for this notebook, please
send it to me!

In the current version, there is only support for Mystique 170. :-(
Se the file /usr/X11R6
d run XF86_SVGA as the server, which I did. I then re-ran
the config process and the Mystique was not a supported card.
Could some kind soul please provide some pointers on how to get the X
server setup for my hardware? (I tried to manually do some of it, but
each time I ran the server I got j
