Trouble with multistrap and even apt-get

Hello, What I really want is for this to work (it works without the --source-dir): mkdir packages && multistrap -f /usr/share/multistrap/stretch.conf -d ./chroot --source-dir ./packages > multistrap_log.txt 2>&1 However, apt-get fails to find the source packages, but I can't figure out why. I c
