Hi there,
posting in case not everybody knows. Previously fonts in Tk
applications were ... let's say, ugly (not antialiased). It appears
that it's changed - on tk8.5 they look much better (antialiasing is
enabled).
In order to take advantage of that, one has to:

I have recently begun using Sonata by Symphony EDA (a VHDL compiler and

Hi everybody
For the last few days, I get lots of error messages when using TCL/TK based
programs. Example: ding (dictionary english <-> german) works basically, but
usually when I double-click on a word, it is used as the new search term. Now
I get the following error message:

I'm not really sure
I just ran a dist-upgrade with Sid on my home box, and found some of the
colors not displaying properly in tkseti's window (the text and background
colors are wrong for the informational boxes, dark grey and light grey,
respectively instead of the defaults).
Things were fine before the upgrade, o

You need the tcl/tk packages (the 8.0 is preferred) and the tcl/tk -dev
packages. There is a visual tcl package which is a wysiwyg tcl/tk program
environ.

Hi,
What packages do I need to write tcl/tk programs. I need to incorperate
them into C/C++ programs.
Thanks

Hi!
Sorry, this question is not strictly debian related,
but because debian is the reason why I have to use Tcl/Tk,
I dare to send it here...
Does anybody know about any GOOD Tcl/Tk tutorials or
manuals available on line, except of

Attractive and Tk. Strange pairing. TkDesk is probably the nearest. However
you might be better of playing with midnight commander as this has both

i'm expieriencing a problem when compiling different packages which use

Hmmm... Broken sym link? "file /usr/lib/libtcl.so". If that's the
problem, fix it by hand. It may also be a good idea to reinstall the
package to make sure that's
I'm trying to upgrade to Tcl/Tk version 8.0. I've downloaded the

That line was a brain fart. Should have been
tcl7.6_7.6p2-6.deb and tcl76_7.6p2-6.deb.
No, they're not the same. One depends on the other.

the version in package name, and listed it two different w
