Hi, I never get my midi port working with my SoundBlaster pnp 16. For now, i would suggest using timidity to play midi files, they are nice, but will use a lot of cpu... when the kernel 2.2.0 comes out, you can have a go on that, I believe the new kernel will be able to handle pnp
