any other way to boot the system in a rescue mode from the installation
medias?

Can you add a rescue system to a Grub menu? To avoid those nasty
kernel panic errors. Any thoughts on a easy rescue method? ( I have a
diskless HP evectra, HD only. ) I hoped a USB key would work but it
does not have a boot from usb device option in the BIOS.
