When you go into the xmms preferences, you get a choice of output
drivers. You have to choose the right one. If totem works, I'm sure you
can get xmms to work.

events (like openning /closing a window, new message in Evolution or
gaim).
But i get no sound from the xmms,xine, or whatever player i try.
