Run xterm, rxvt, wterm, eterm, kterm or other xshells. (See your
KDE/Gnome or other menu in X11).

I'm not sure exactly what you mean.
You could always start an xterm (or one of the other packages that
provide x-terminal-emulator) from within X; that will give you shell.
