I did the same, looked at /etc/network/interfaces, but what u need is to
configure /etc/pcmcia/network.opts. Set up your static ip or just say
'yes' to dhcp or bootp.
Something like this:
IPADDR=10.x.x.x
NETMASK=255.255.x.x
NETWORK=10.x.x.x
BROADCAST=10.x.x.x
GATEWAY=10.x.
