Well, that depends on your definition of "work". On my GeForce 4 I can
get 2D, and 3D for about 30 seconds at a time between segfaults

With a custom kernel it works as described in /usr/share/doc/nvidia-kernel
If you dont have a custom kernel you might need some extra crunching.
Without the custom kernel i got it working (on 2.4.18-k7 precompiled)
