Here it is my /etc/apt.conf file, the only line I need to pass through a proxy
requiring authentication via userid and password:
Acquire::http::Proxy "http://mydomain\userid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:8080/";
It works greatly!

I set my shell env settings http_proxy and ftp_proxy and it works perfect.
