You can take kernel-image-2.2.20-udma100-ext3 from the Pool (Woody) and
install it manually on Potato. It should als be SMP-enabled

Put the following in /etc/apt/sources.list (in addition to the normal
entries):
deb http://ftp.netgod.net/ x/
Run dselect/update, select the Xserver you need and let apt sort out the
rest.
