All seems to be fine.
Are you sure you are using cross-over (not straight-thru) cable
between the cards?
Just a shot in the dark. (BTW, the cable going into the DSL modem is
probably a straight-thru one -- in case you were trying it to
interconnect the machines.)
Also, try running setup/diagnost
