Hi all,
Installing the module as you described below looks like it is going to
work. I am having a problem with matching up the correct kernel version.
I am running version 2.0.39 and the only linux box my friend has is version
2.2.1. Once I can match up versions a insmod should do the trick.
I found another device driver disk, but it is taking forever to download.
I found I had the same problem as you: version 2.1 wouldn't install (not
recognizing /dev/eda) but 2.0 is working out. I am really looking for
3Com's 3c523 device driver, on a driver disk or elsewhere. Thanks for your
help.

Ya, I have linux running on my PS/2 (same model actually) just fine.
