I am using exim for sending and fetchmail receiving mail. So its easy to
compose mail on
my machine and exim delivers it. At the same time (to save money) fetchmail is
started,
when the link to my ISP is up.
To see if you can access your telnet-account-machine try telnet 25.
That
lets your tel
You could put a .forward file at your telnet/ftp account to send all
mail on to the pop server, then just use fetchmail to get it all off the
pop server.
