As root, run pppconfig. It'll ask a bunch of questions, such as phone
number to your ISP, and your login name and password, etc. Basically
pppconfig creates a dial-up connection, like "Make New Con

As root, run "pppconfig" command. Then start ppp with "pon", stop with "poff",
see log with "plog".
