perfect-sized fonts in mozilla menus and mail preview etc. until today's
sid upgrade (mozilla build 2003031622).
My ~/.gtkrc has not changed, and all other gtk-apps have still the font
they used to have (chemtool, gimp, .

That was it. My fontset was
-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal-*-*-140-*-*-p-*-iso8859-15
