As Luc points out, its different on the "old world" Macs, but unfortunately I don't know how it will work on the G3 upgrade. However, I have a Blue & White G3 with two SCSI drives. The first drive sda is nothing but MacOS, the second is nothing but Debian. I boot using yaboot, but as stated earl

Hi, I know that for "old world" macs you can use bootX . For "old world" macs there is a problem with the firmware which prevents from wiping out the MacOS completely and using only Linux, one therefore needs to use BootX. You can then select, in BootX, the default system . Hope this helps O
