i beg to differ on debian's support of the mca bus
i have an ibm ps/2 70 and installed debian 2.1 on it w/no problem
the only thing was applying a patch to support the network card...but
other than that there was absolutely no problems.

MCA IS supported by the kernel. I recently built a 2.2.x version with MCA
support for a PS/2 386 which I have. You may however have to enable
developmental options in the c/menu/x config menus though.
Dunno about 2.0.x kernels.
