Yes, I've checked the Hardware-HOWTO and Boot-Prompt-Howto.
I've tried with (bios-)disabled SCSI-Controller and the following boot
parameters:
nosmp maxcpus=0/1 noapic

Could it be a lack of boot parameters? Have you check the hardware
HOWTO and verified that your hardware
