Yup. This is a list for Debian users.

Yes.
Just slave the drive into your current system, copy everything over, change
stuff like hostname, ip address, and edit the stuff in /etc/fstab if
necessary. Toss the new drive into the new system, boot up via floppy, run
lilo, reboot, and there you go.

No offense, but that's a fair amount of incorrect information.

I'd get a cheapo sound card, any type working with Linux, since AFAIK onboard
sound chews up more CPU cycles...

Hi! I'm a .signature virus! Copy me into your ~/.signature, please!

Spend the extra $20 and get an ABIT KT7-RAID motherboard and a
Thunderbird CPU. Also, look into a better video card. ATI doesn't support
the Linux cause at all. You can pick up a TNT2 for $50 and with XFree 4.0.1
you can use NVidia's open source drivers. Plus, the TNT2s are ten times
better
looks fine for linux im not so sure if os/2 v4 would install on such a
drive, would be even more suprised if it detected the controller. although
i havent played with os/2 since the early betas of v4..so things could of
changed...
