Got burned!
I installed php5 from dotdeb and since it did not work right ( because
of my lack of knowledge)
I removed it and reinstalled PHP4 and php4-mysql but I get he error message.

#ifconfig eth0:1 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
Remember to place in /etc/network/interfaces to ensure IP remains post
reboot.

So that I can make one apache instance run PHP4 and listen on one IP
at port 80 and the other instance run PHP5 and listen on other IP on
port 80.
