the quake2-data package, I had to choose between getting the files from:
net/cd/...
I choose the net, and via ftp (because I don't need a proxy for that).

accell in X4.1? It seems to need Mesa 2.6, while now adays we are
around 3.x. Is it even possible to get this working?

I am on a dell csx with neomagic videocard, 500mhz PIII processor and 256M
of ram running unstable.
I have q2 running perfect on my desktop thats runnin unstable too.
Difference is that laptop is being updated everyday, but desktop every 3
months or so.
