The messages at the end of the log are the ones of intrest. From them i can see that. 1. X cannot find your mouse 2. X cant connect to the font server With the mouse it looks like you have chosen the most logical device name for the mouse :). However if your mouse is a PS/2 mouse using /dev/psa
