No problem. I hoped that slogging through man's would serve a purpose other
than burning out my eyes. I'm almost tempted to write some version(s) in
~clear~ unambiguous language for newbies (like myself).

elimination, I reasoned that my "server" (what I affectionately refer to as
my COMPUTER) was not accepting requests for printing. After pondering and
delving further into the "CUPS Software Administrator's Tool"
that error should read "server-error-service-unavailable". Still not finding
this error in the Docs.

I'm having difficulty getting my printer to work from applications; I can
print from commands: ie

I can also print the test page from the Cups web interface. However, I can't
get any applications (Mozilla, GEdit, Klyx) to print from within.
