I agree snmp to get the info. There's plenty of tools command line
and otherwise to view it.

Despite the recent question about traffic monitoring on multiple machines, does
anyone know of a good COMMAND-LINE tool to give accurate counts of packet
transfers
AND errors? I'm working on a hardware stats / performance program for nearly
50 machines.
