Probably didn't have anything to do with sound. I was bouncing
between tty and X which sometimes goes flaky and locks me out (ie. no

Hi,
I've been trying to install a sound driver for my YMF744 based sound card. I'm using
ALSA with a custom 2.4.3 kernel. I got it to work for 2 seconds about 5 days ago
before my box crashed. After that my box refuses to acknowledge the existence
of IRQ5.
Sound support has been installed either
