Hello,
Of late (a week or so) I have started noticing some strange syslog
messages:
su: PAM [dlerror: libselinux.so.1: failed to map segment from shared object:
Cannot allocate memory]: 2 Time(s)
su: PAM [dlerror: libsepol.so.1: failed to map segment from shared object:
Cannot allocate memory]:
/syslog.conf,
but it is identical to /etc/syslog.conf.
I searched around but didn't find much useful. Would anybody please
tell me how to redirect these PAM messages to log file? Is there any
documentation I am missing?
Please CC the reply to me.
Thanks in advance,
Ming

run the system logger daemon,
# syslogd
or
# /etc/init.d/sysklogd start
make a symlink to it in your rc dir to
I keep getting messages like:
PAM_unix[982]: (cron) session closed for user lance
on my console.
How do I stop this?

Just recently, I started getting these messages appearing on the console,
about every half hour. They also appear in /var/log/auth.log
PAM_unix[18768]: (cron) session opened for user mail by (uid=0)
Any ideas on how can I get these things to quit showing up on the console?
