Interesting I install'd it on 3 machines just yesterday and
didn't have any issue with it crashing... Load'd the very first time
after install and work'd like a champ for what I need'd it for... I
install'd from ftp.openoffice.tuxfamily.org...

Using the deb packages found in www.linux-debian.de I've just
installed OpenOffice and created the corresponding workstation
installation under my favourite user.
Now, when I FIRST start ./soffice it opens and crashes
immediatedly. Starting it agai
