Open Office is really messed up

Ok, in addition to my last letter, I have reinstalled and reconfigured Open Office, but nonetheless, in order to install it for my username, when I type openoffice on a command prompt it opens this large white screen which I can't do anything with except kill the process. Any ideas why this is
