I've run into a few problems, though...
First, the framebuffer console looks hideous on my laptop. I searched the list
archives, but the only solutions I found were using the kernel parameter 'vga=normal'

just installed Debian 1.2... noticed that startx doesn't work,
xinit does, but it starts to load up FVWM and puts an xterm
on a background and hangs... i installed everything correctly
and XFree86 config was fine. my mouse may not be setup on the
system, that's not the problem, the problem is
