Thanks! You folks are great. All I had to do was install the module with the apropriate conf info (io=0x300 irq=10) and it is working great. Next I'll recompile the kernel to get rid off all those extraneous CD drive checks...but first, maybe I'd better see if I can mount the smb share with the
